Ecycle: What is it?

In Guernsey some 1500 items a month are collected by Public Services, a lot of which are landfilled at Mont Cuet. Our new E-cycle feature aims to help us all to recycle things that we no longer need. This can be anything from jam jars to crystal glasses, plants to greenhouses! What is ecycle?
Quite simply it is a message board where you can leave a list of your unwanted items rather than deciding to add to our landfill crisis by taking them to the skip/dump. Your list appears in the Guernsey Press' new ecycle classification and here at thisisguernsey.com where it will stay until you let us know that you have recycled your item/s or decide to discard them. How do I use ecycle?
ecyclers can fill in the coupon in the Press or fill in the form online to a maximum of 20 words (including your contact details). You can gift away almost anything as long as it is given freely and the advert is legal, decent and true. Your message, once accepted, appears in the next available ecycle feature in the Guernsey Press and on-line here at This is Guernsey. If the Press finds the content unsuitable, it will not appear.

How do I cancel?
To remove your advert from the website, and any possible future printed listings you just need to fill in this form or phone us on 240277 with booking details, a brief description of the item and the contact details used on the advert, and we'll take it off the website as soon as possible.
