The HIEG is a Guernsey Charity which researches and provides free confidential and impartial information on Health and Disability matters for the people of the Bailiwick
The HIEG acts as a resource centre to Bailiwick residents and as such can assist individuals in the access that will promote informed decision making
The aim of the service is to assist health service users, carers( formal and informal) and health care staff in the access of relevant and appropriate information that will asist individuals and /or groups with health travel and accommodation requirements.
The Health Information Exchange is an independant organisation which also undertakes various projects commissioned by States Departments and private agencies that may asist health service user groups and individuals.
Location
The HIEG is based at the Ron Short Centre, Beau Sejour by agreement with the Guernsey Society for Disabled People, who own and run the Ron Short Centre, there is also a second office in the new clinical block at the PEH
Both offices are fully accessible to wheelchairs.
The HIEG has an agreement with Les Cotils Christian Centre, The WRVS and the Board of Health to use a small room (in the Russells Day Centre) as a mangers office.
