The Fairtrade Guernsey Steering Group is pleased to announce that Guernsey has now been awarded 'Fairtrade Island' status by the Fairtrade Foundation.


We would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved in this achievement. This success is a real demonstration of what can happen when a positive message is taken up across a caring community such as ours.

The FAIRTRADE Mark is an independent consumer label which appears on products as a guarantee that disadvantaged producers are getting a better deal. Today, more than 5 million farmers, workers and their families across 49 developing countries benefit from the international Fairtrade system.
